Below you will find some basic information about Alphatography artwork. It is by no means comprehensive so please send us a note with ideas or questions you may have. Creativity
Alphatography is 100% customized artwork based on what you want your art to express with letter photographs, printed text or anything else you would like to add. The specs on this page are only a guide and are by no means a limit to what can be done with Alphatography photo letters. We love your ideas! Please feel free to contact us with any project that Alphatography can put together for you.
Pricing
All artwork includes your selected photographs and text in a custom cut mat board. Each piece of artwork is mounted to a foam core backing. Printed text can be added to compliment any string of photographs. Custom artwork begins at $100 for any combination of text and photographs up to 5 windows. Each photo or text window over 5 is an additional $10 per window. 4x6" photographs begin at $100 for the first 3 openings and are $10 per opening after 3.
Framing
If you would like to receive your Alphatography artwork already framed, we will gladly assist in the custom framing process. Because of the dimensions commonly used in Alphatography artwork, most pieces require custom frames. If you would like Alphatography to do your framing, we recommend visiting American Frame to select a fram that will compliment your custom artwork. We will handle ordering and assembling your frame so that you will receive a finished, ready-to-hang Alphatography artwork. Custom framing is an additional $25 in addition to the wholesale cost of the frame, backing and glass.
Proofing
Having a hard time choosing between the many Alphatography photo options? We will assist in the creation of your Alphatography artwork by providing you with artist-generated photograph combinations. You will receive 3 proof options to begin and will continue to receive proof ideas until you find one you love. Proofing service is an additional $25.
Shipping
Shipping and Handling is via UPS and is a $25 charge . We can accommodate other shipping methods and include insurance and signature confirmation at your request. Local hand delivery can be arranged in some cases.
Payment
We accept all major credit cards over the phone or PayPal. Check and money orders are also accepted.
Sizes
Alphatography typically prints photographs in a 2x3" size. 4x6" prints can alo be used for shorter words or names. We will work one-on-one with you to determine the best size photographs for your artwork.
Most pieces are arranged in a narrow rectangular frame. The height of your artwork will be determined by how many lines you would like. Most pieces include 1 line of photographs and 0-2 lines of text. These range between 7" and 9" in height.
The number of photographs in your piece determines the length. For standard 2x3" prints, any word or name up to 5 letters is mounted into a 20" frame.

7 letters = 24"
8 letters = 27"
9 letters = 30"
4"x6" photos are matted in a double mat that is 10" high and come in the following lengths:
2 letters = 15"
3 letters = 18"
4 letters = 23"
5 letters = 28"
6 letters = 33"
